When I attended a small community college for two years, I spent some time as a janitor. I noticed a lot of details about campus in the early morning when no one else was around. I started to notice that there were hardly any fire extinguishers in the building that I cleaned. It was old and not used as much as other buildings on campus, but it still worried me. I checked out the rules and realized that we were short a fire extinguisher or two, and that had somehow been overlooked. With a few letters and phone calls I started "Project: Management Campus," where students like me would take the initiative to make campus safer and more energy-efficient--or to fix problems like missing fire extinguishers. I started this blog to record some of what I learned during "Project: Management Campus." Enjoy!
